GALVANIZED - Hot dipped galvanized throughout to ASTM-A123 specification including hardware.

FACTORY COATED & THERMALLY CURED - There are a variety of coatings available that will provide both chemical and corrosion resistance. We also have coatings that have contact surface approval, required when tanks are used in the production, processing, treating, packaging, transportation and storage of foods. (See below for specifications on our standard factory baked on epoxy coating.)

BLACK IRON - Unpainted with black iron or galvanized hardware.

Corrosion Resistance:
Excellent to most acids, alkali, brines, sea water, sour crude oil, refined stocks, aromatics, and salt spray.

Salt Spray (ASTM B-117): 7,000 hours

Dry Film Thickness: 5-6 mils

Limiting Operating Temperature (Dry Heat): 300°F

Operating Temperature (Immersed):
212°F Fresh or Condensate Water
212°F Crude Oil
200°F Oilfield Sour Water
140°F General Chemical

Gloss 60: Degree 25-40

Abrasion Resistance: 84 mg loss (cs 10 wheel)

Impact Resistance: 60-90 inch pounds on 10 gauge wheel

Scrape Adhesion (ASTM D-2197): Passes 10 kg.

Shear-Bond Adhesion: 1,200 psi

Color: Gold

Note: In tests, this coating has been immersed in boiling de-ionized water for more than 10,000 hours with no adverse effect on physical properties.
